Things Human
Perhaps the strongest connection I have with photography is the process of exploration and discovery, especially of the people I photograph. Such images are sensitive photographic collaborations of great intimacy. I honor the human condition with truth and dignity, whether discovering that delicious and fleeting facial expression, or exploring the beautiful textures, contours, and shapes of the body.
Things Structural
Structure is a configuration of items, a collection of inter-related components. Structures of both Nature and Man make beautiful images, strong and bold as well as subtle and delicate. I relish that image which explores and defines the relationship of each.
Projects & Series
Visually, my projects are explorations that have a defined goal and that may culminate in one or more final images.
A series is a group of images that are related, often as an ongoing project. The relationship of the images can be technical (for instance related by successive differences in form or configuration such as color, texture, structure and the like), temporal (for example images that are linked by time or emotion), or physical (such as smiles, travel, or seascapes).
